Workshop Description:
Ever feel like you are speaking the same language with students or team members but something is getting lost in translation? You aren’t alone! Diversity of age, belief, culture, disability, gender, identity, language, and/or socioeconomic can create a variety of challenges in getting your message across. What if you could skip those challenges and tap into your greatest motivations to dramatically improve your relationships and accelerate personal, student, and school results?
Effective communication is the way to elevate student engagement, behavior, and outcomes as well as faculty/staff collaboration and satisfaction. This workshop helps you use the power of the Law of Awareness to tap into your strengths and address opportunities to build relationships based on trust, acceptance, and understanding. Doing so increases learning and creates a collaborative environment where everyone can thrive.
What You’ll Learn:
- Your communication strengths and opportunities.
- How others are different and how to work with each personality.
- What your students need to increase comprehension and optimize results.
- A 5-part model for building trust and safety in any relationship.
- Effective strategies for handling conflict and personality clashes.
Furthermore, when you communicate effectively, you are modeling positive interactions for all those around you. Not only will you increase learning outcomes, but you will also create a space that appreciates the style of others and helps students grow socially and emotionally. These “soft” skills are a positive investment in helping them reach their full potential well into the future.
